Pastor Creflo Dollar, who leads the nondenominational World Changers Church International based in College Park, Ga., remained on the Billboard's Gospel Albums chart for eight consecutive weeks, which Arrow Records described as a "landmark accomplishment."

S.E.R.M.O.N.S. SONGS Volume I peaked at #16 on the Gospel Albums chart, but has remained strong for eight weeks since its release earlier this year.

"My goal is to provide a unique experience for listeners to help empower their spiritual walk with Christ," Dollar explained about the goal of the CD. Arrow Records is planning S.E.R.M.O.N.S. SONGS, Volume II to be released this year. The different volumes will each focus on a specific theme affecting people's lives today, according to Praise Atlanta.

The project, which includes original compositions by Sam Collier, bills itself as the first major release to present musical sermons, and has enjoyed unprecedented success for a Christian music album featuring spoken word.

Dollar, 50, has been moving on with his ministry after he completed an anger management program earlier this year and had battery charges against him dropped.

In June 2012, Dollar was arrested and accused of physically attacking his 15-year-old daughter after a dispute. The pastor's 19-year-old daughter claimed that she saw her father "put both hands around her sister's neck and [choke] her for about five seconds."

Dollar has denied the accusations.

"As a father I love my children and I always have their best interest at heart at all times, and I would never use my hand to ever cause bodily harm to my children. The facts in this case will be handled privately to further protect my children. My family thanks you for your prayers and continued support," the Georgia pastor said in a statement after the incident.
