'Criminal Minds' Season 10 Spoilers, News: Episode 15 'Scream' Recap

On Wednesday's episode of "Criminal Minds" an UnSub with a troubled past relives the terrible things from his childhood as he targets submissive women as his victims.

"Scream" starts with the UnSub, Peter, going about his daily routine as he makes his bed, prepares his breakfast, cleans up, and gets the paper. He goes down to the basement and puts on an apron and a pair of gloves, both drenched in blood, and picks up a bat and yells at a woman tied to a chair. He rants that he's been working hard all day and she hasn't prepared a hot meal, and she responds that she'll do better next time.

At the BAU, the team learns that two women have been found dead, and they are of the same age and has similar features as the woman in Peter's basement. As the team pull up the profiles of the women, they learn that they have one thing in common—both of them were submissive.

Meanwhile, Peter, who works as a caseworker for victimized women, is with Greta, a woman who decided to end her marriage because her son saw her husband hitting her. As she's packing to move to a friend's house, Peter gives the boy, Connor, some candy. Then, Peter hits Greta hard enough for her and she becomes unconscious, and later Connor tells the neighbor that a man took his mom.

At Peter's basement, Greta wakes up and Peter reassures her that her son is fine. Peter forces Greta to drink salt water, then, he sets up his record player and cassette recorder and has her listen and recite the same script he had his other victims follow.

Back at the BAU, Garcia is unable to find Greta in the system, and Morgan realizes that the UnSub is working in the system. They narrow down the list of domestic cases until they find Peter. It turns out that his parents died in a murder suicide 25 years ago, and he saw the whole thing. Before the death of his parents, Peter sought the help of John Folkmore, the police officer who responded to his calls, wherein he said that his father was abusing his mother. Folkmore gave Peter a cassette recorder so he could record the abuse and they could use that since his mother refused to come forward.

At Peter's house, Greta manages to free herself, reach Peter's bat and hits him with it, but he overpowers her and gets her into a closet. The team arrives at his house, JJ finds Peter and fights him, and Kate shoots Peter in the back.

"Criminal Minds" airs on Wednesdays at 9/8c on CBS.
