'Criminal Minds' Season 10 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Episode 17 Recap 'Breath Play'

This week on "Criminal Minds," the BAU is called to Wisconsin to look for a serial killer, and the team looks for a connection among the victims for clues to the UnSub. Meanwhile, Kate has trouble dealing with her niece, Meg, when she begins acting out.

Kate is pregnant, and while everyone is happy for her, Meg isn't taking the news too well. She's acting out, getting her belly button pierced, and keeps complaining that living with Kate and Chris is like being in prison.

At the BAU headquarters, Garcia presents a new case to the team. Three women have been killed, and all of them have been sexually assaulted before being strangled. The marks on their necks indicate that the UnSub uses a rope, and the same DNA is found on all the bodies.

The team investigates, and they find out that the first two victims were single, while the last one was married. The victim's husband swears that no one knew about their security code, but he claims that prior to her death, his wife was exchanging suggestive texts with someone. It turns out all three women were doing the same thing.

The UnSub goes home to his family, and while he dotes on his daughter Connie, he doesn't have a good relationship with his wife. Later, the UnSub closes in on his next victim, and she too winds up dead.

At the crime scene, JJ finds the book "Bare Reflections," a book about rough sexual acts. The UnSub has been using the book to choose his victims, and all of them have read it.

Back at the UnSub's house, the nanny Charlotte tells the UnSub to tell his wife Stacey that she's leaving her copy of "Bare Reflections" for her. This piques his interest and he starts asking her about her studies and he tells her that she'll be a great lawyer someday.

At her home, Charlotte is listening to music and studying when the UnSub enters her room. Charlotte doesn't see him as he hides under her bed. Connie rides her bike and stops in front of Charlotte's house. She sees her father walking away from the house and getting into his car.

Garcia learns about the UnSub's identity—he's Patrick Jon Murphy. When he was 12, he witnessed a neighbor strangle his wife while they were getting intimate, and Patrick and Stacey have been in therapy for years.

Patrick is at Charlotte's and quoting from "Bare Reflections." Charlotte tries to get him to leave and fights back, but she is soon overpowered by him. At the same time, Connie stops by and, finding the door unlocked, goes up to Charlotte's room and sees her father strangling her nanny. Connie runs, and Patrick goes after her. Patrick hugs Connie then runs out the back door. Morgan gives chase and tackles Patrick in a cemetery.

"Criminal Minds" airs on Wednesdays at 9/8c on CBS.
