The Behavioral Analysis Unit team of CBS' hit police-procedural TV drama series "Criminal Minds" has found a new member.

A report from Entertainment Weekly said that actress Aisha Tyler will be joining Joe Mantegna, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler, and more others in the show's upcoming 11th Season.

Tyler has signed on with the deal following the departure of Hewitt as well as the forthcoming "temporary absence" of A.J. Cook, who plays the character JJ Jareau.

According to the publication, the "Archer" star will play the part of a certain Dr. Tara Lewis, "a psychologist with an eye on forensic psychology and its application toward the criminal justice system."

The new season is expected to feature Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) interviewing a handful of candidates that will replace the void left by Kate Callahan (Hewitt). Dr. Lewis ended up getting the spot which will eventually see her "helping out the BAU team in an investigation."

"Her dream was to study psychopaths up close and personal – and her psychology background, combined with her experience in the FBI, brought her face-to-face with monsters. Her job was to stare them down and interview them, in order to determine if they were fit to stand trial. In the process, she made herself find the humanity inside these broken men (and, sometimes, women) in order to learn if there was a conscience behind their brutal crimes," Dr. Lewis' official background reads.

The 11th Season of "Criminal Minds" will be packed with brand new 22 episodes (which saw a slight reduction from its 23-24 number of episode order).

Meanwhile, the show's spinoff series, "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders," is set to premiere during the midseason.
