'Criminal Minds' Season 9 Spoilers: 'A Humbled Side of Morgan'

Tonight's episode of CBS hit drama "Criminal Minds" is set to be an exciting one. The dramatic new relationship of Sherman Moore's character Derek Morgan is of particular interest to fans. For spoilers about tonight's episode from actor Sherman Moore himself, read on.

In a recent interview with TV Line, Moore discussed how he expects fans to respond to the introduction of his girlfriend Savannah.

"I'm kind of wary of how the Morgan/Garcia fans are going to take it. Hopefully they don't see her a threat, but see this new lady as adding another dimension to Morgan. If Garcia is allowed to have Kevin and other boyfriends, Morgan's allowed to play kissy-face once or twice," the actor said.

Moore also spoke about what audiences can expect from Savannah.

"Savannah is a doctor, so she's very independent and she's very busy. And there's a cute scene where Morgan's all frustrated because we've had this really sexy, romantic night, and then she just up and leaves me. I'm like, 'What is that?' And Garcia says, 'Your BAU business can pull him away at any odd hour,'" Moore said.

The actor discussed how Savannah will change his character Derek.

"You see this humbled side of Morgan, where he has to realize, 'I've met my match. I've got somebody on my level,'" Moore said to TV Line.

Moore also took time to address the reality the show is based on and commend real-life law enforcement officials.

"So I tip my cap to the [FBI profilers] who really do what we portray on television, because it's a very dark, dark heavy world that really exists out there ... I honestly would never want to do that for a living, but I tip my cap to the people that do," the actor said.

The CBS hit show "Criminal Minds" airs at 9 p.m. on Wednesday evenings.
