'CSI: Cyber' Season 2 Premiere Latest: How to Watch Online, What to Expect

With "CSI: Cyber" set to come back for its second season in less than two days, fans are eagerly waiting for details on how to watch the crime series online and what they should expect from it.

"CSI: Cyber" season 2 will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 4, and viewers are bound to notice some changes in the cast and plot of the famous CBS crime series. Ted Danson's chararacter D.B. Russell, who was part of the original "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," will join the team of cyber crime experts in the next season, according to CBS News.

The original CSI series has come to an end after a whopping 15 seasons. So, Russell will be transferred to the cyber crime division to work with Special Agent Avery Ryan's (Patricia Arquette) crew, Cinema Blend reports.

FBI Agent Elijah Mundo (James Van Der Beek), queer tech genius Daniel Krumitz (Charley Koontz), rookie tech Raven Ramierz (Hayley Kiyoko), and expat hacker Brody Nelson (Shad "Bow Wow" Moss) are also part of the team, the report details.

"He's coming over from CSI because he wasn't quite finished with the crime world," CBS quotes showrunner Pam Veasey's statement during a visit to the series' set. "He is the director of Next Generation Forensics. So he combines the CSI world of fingerprints and DNA with the technology of next generation products..."

Another change in "CSI: Cyber" season 2 involves the shift from a formal set of wardrobe to more casual outfits for Ramierz. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer reportedly ordered the change to allow the character to express his true self more, the report relays.

Moreover, Van Der Beek's character will undergo a transformation from a workaholic and emotional person to a more straightforward and focused guy. Arquette's character will also face a major change in her job.

Meanwhile, fans can also opt to watch the second installation of the new crime series online. There are sites, such as Watch Series and Series Cravings, that offer video streaming of CSI: Cyber. However, the availability of season 2 for the said sites is still unconfirmed.

"CSI: Cyber" season 2 premieres on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 10 p.m. E.T. on CBS.
