It will be a disaster for San Antonio of they get eliminated today, and they will be hoping to get back to their best to take down the No. 8 seeded Mavericks in today's match up.
Dallas has had a very balanced attack through this series, and that has caused the Spurs all sorts of trouble. San Antonio have struggled to contain the Mavericks offense and that has seen them drop 3 games and be on the verge of elimination. They must get a better grip of the Mavericks strike players – Vince Carter had a storm in Game 5, and Monta Ellis and Dirk Nowitzki wreaked havoc in Game 6.
Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle has said, "We've got a team of go-to guys. That's the way I've been saying it for a long time this year. It's the way our roster was built. I expect these guys to all have a lot of confidence and they've all gotta be ready to step up and make big shots and big plays. They know that. These guys have been in these situations enough [that] they look forward to that moment — where you get the opportunity to live up to it," according to Sports Illustrated.
