They definitely have the pieces that can do it, as the Jazz have Gordon Hayward who is playing some of his best basketball this year as he has emerged the leader of the team.
Young stars have also come up big for the Jazz as Rudy Gobert is a very good defensive player who has the knack for blocking shots to save the game, while Derrick Favors is one of the rising power forwards in the league who can score on the inside and has decent range as well.
As for the Mavericks, they have a good season so far and have been a little over the .500 mark for most of the season. Entering the year with very little expectations, the Mavericks have seemingly outdone themselves and have surprised many.
Deron Williams seems to have rekindled his career at Dallas as he has become one of the more reliable point guards in the game. His shooting has been better this year and he has found his confidence to close out games when the team needs him.
This is the second of three total meetings between the two teams with the Mavericks already holding a victory over the Jazz this season.
