It was speculated that her uncertainty to return to the series was due to the fact that she had said that the show was not 100 percent authentic.

Along with Mackenzie, her sister Maddie will also be present in the series.

Fans of the series were invited to catch a live taping of the show's first episode entitled "Girl Talk: No Moms Allowed." It is planned to be shot this Halloween, which is expected to start off the special. It was reported that tickets were already sold out for the event.

The event will also feature a portion where fans can ask the cast members questions. However, fans were instructed to send in their questions beforehand so that the producers can pre-select which ones will be answered.

There were recent scandals around the show, revealing that Phoenix Sundown was sending sexually explicit materials to another star of the series named Jojo Siwa. He apparently also sent 11 packages to the 12-year-old Maddie Ziegler. Meanwhile, he was already arrested for his actions.

Season 6 of "Dance Moms" is expected to premiere next year on Lifetime.
