'Dancing With the Stars' 5th Round of Performances: Could Ricki Lake Win It All?

Ricki Lake and partner Derek Hough have led this season of "Dancing With the Stars" – and the couple is widely predicted to win the championship title.

On tonight’s episode of “DWTS,” the eight remaining dancing couples will perform dance routines set to an 80’s theme.

Monday’s episode will mark the fifth performance by the remaining stars and their professional dance partners. Season 13 has already made three eliminations, including last week’s farewell to Chynna Phillips.

The show’s eliminations have been unpredictable so far, and often do not reflect the judges’ scores of the performances.

Rehearsing for hours ahead of each performance, many reports indicate the physical changes of many of the contestants. Ricki Lake told People magazine that she has lost 12 inches in just three weeks while appearing on the show.

Also, Rob Kardashian has slimmed down, according to his dance partner Cheryl Burke.

“His whole physical appearance has changed,” said the dancer. “He’s using different muscles. He’s super sore all the time. I’m not sure if he’s changing his diet, but the cardio is really good.”

Kardashian remains a strong contender in the competition for the mirror ball trophy.

Chaz Bono along with dancing partner Lacey Schwimmer have consistently received low scores for past performances, and critics scorn Bono for being overweight.

Complaining about injuries from dancing, Bono cleared up questions from fans on Twitter.

“I’ve been getting lots of enquiries [sic] about my knees and ankles, thanks for caring. I’m happy to say they’re both doing so much better now,” Bono wrote ahead of the performance show Monday.

The performances tonight will give way to another round of eliminations as the competition for the mirror ball trophy continues.

“Dancing with the Stars” airs on ABC at 8 p.m. EST. The results show will air the following night and reveal this week’s elimination.
