'Dancing With The Stars' Awards First 10s to Contestant
Last night "Dancing With The Stars" judges finally awarded one contestant two perfect scores for her side-by-side routine. Zendaya and partner Val Chmerkovskiy earned 29 points out of 30, making them her the first to earn a perfect 10 score.
"Every move you do has a story," judge Carrie Ann Inaba told Zendaya. "It's like watching stylized life happen and I love it," she said before giving the pair a 10.
The 16-year-old has been a favorite throughout the competition, having won over the adoration of both the judges and the audience. Zendaya Coleman usually goes by only one name and is an actress on the Disney Channel series "Shake It Up!" She studied acting at the Oakland School for the Arts, the CalShakes Conservatory and the American Conservatory Theater.

Last night she and partner Chmerkovskiy had to perform a routine in time and side-by-side with a professional pairing. The two floored judges with their intensity, passion, and ability to perform the Argentine tango.
"You are the best we've ever had," judge Bruno Tonioli said before awarding the pair a 10. "Next to Anna, you were as good and as strong … the ultimate femme fatale."
"It was like a lemon tart – sharp and tangy at the top, sharp and tasty down below," Len Goodman added. He was the only judge to award the couple a 9, leading them to fall one point short of a perfect 30.
Unfortunately not everyone had such a stellar night. Andy Dick, whose dance last week moved judges to tears, found himself in the bottom with only 18 points. D.L. Hughley joined him in the bottom with the exact same score, and judges had some harsh criticism for the two.
"It was like a decaf coffee. It didn't have any buzz to it. It was too mild … it just lacked that attack," Goodman told Hughley and his partner Cheryl Burke.
"It was more Pasadena than paso doble," Goodman told Dick and partner Sharna Burgess.
