“But I have to take responsibility. I messed up and… I have an amazing partner. I love you, Tony,” added Phillips.

Phillips and Dovolani gave strong performances leading up to the fourth round of the competition. However dancing the tango to the theme song of “Mission Impossible,” the couple earned 21 points – their lowest score ever Monday.

Phillips and Dovolani rehearsed for many hours and appeared to be strong contenders on the show, which made their elimination all the more shocking.

Chynna offered her thanks and appreciation to her partner as well as the audience.

“He’s been there for me 100 percent the entire way and I’m grateful to have been on this show and have the opportunity. Thank you everyone who voted for me,” said Phillips.

Kicking off Tuesday’s “DWTS” Results Show was Raphael Saadiq singing his rendition of “Soul Man,” followed by a performance from British singing sensation Susan Boyles, who sang “Unchained Melody.”

Julianne Hough, former “DWTS” contestant, danced to the theme song of “Footloose” in her return to the ballroom floor with an emotional and triumphant performance.

Chaz Bono and his partner Lacey Schwimmer are safe and will return for next week’s competition, despite consistently low scores.

Nancy Grace and partner Tristan MacManus will also be back next week.

Suffering a shoulder injury, professional dancer Derek Hough and his star-partner Ricki Lake were this week’s highest scorers. The duo remains the top competitors on this season’s show.

The remaining eight couples are preparing for their fifth “DWTS” performances Monday, continuing the competition for the Mirror Ball trophy.

“DWTS” airs on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
