Could you imagine Tim Tebow hanging up his football gear and helmet in exchange for performing in Dancing With the Stars? If you didn't find this idea as far-fetched then you have something in common with Karina Smirnoff, champion of the competition, who showed some fervor in favor of this idea.

“All I want for my birthday is for Tim Tebow to dance on Dancing with the Stars. Tim is a very talented athlete, that was clear when we saw his performance this past season with Denver. He can run, jump, pass, throw touchdowns,” Smirnoff told People. “All [that] is missing is to see if he has the dance skills. That would make him an all around athlete and someone that I would love to dance with on the show.”

Smirnoff made her thoughts known last week during her birthday celebration in Las Vegas after the Denver Broncos were defeated by the Patriots.

Tim Tebow to date has made no comment and has shown no interest in participating in the show.

DWTS in the past has included athletes, and football players have normally been popular figures in the show which is why Smirnoff's bringing in Tebow is certainly not a far-fetched idea.

In the end, she has plenty of time to scout him before the DWTS Season 14 begins on March 19.

Will Tebow dance?
