Daniel Radcliffe has upset some fans, used to his more innocent image, by telling in a recent interview that he sometimes showed up to the Harry Potter set to film while still drunk from the night before.

The 22 year old film star, who shot to fame as the main character in the huge movie franchise Harry Potter, recently spoke to British magazine Heat saying: "I have a very addictive personality. It was a problem."

Radcliffe, who is trying to leave his Potter days behind him and develop his career in a new direction recently starred in "The Woman in Black."

The actor explained in his recent interview how he used to keep his secret: "People with problems like that are very adept at hiding it. It was bad. I don't want to go into details but I drank a lot and it was daily - I mean nightly. I can honestly say I never drank at work on Harry Potter. I went into work still drunk, but I never drank at work."

In a shock to fans he even revealed that he could pinpoint certain scenes he had filmed while still completely intoxicated from a previous night out drinking. He said, "I can point to many scenes where I'm just gone. Dead behind the eyes."

Radcliffe has spoken about his alcohol problems in the past. Last year he also held an interview with British GQ magazine. At that time he said that he was now sober and that he intended to stay that way and not let his life go any further down the alcohol path.

"You either have to change something or give into that shame and I wasn't prepared to do that at 21," he said.
