Dark Souls 2 News, Update: Namco Bandai Announces Game Arriving to PS4 and Xbox One Next Year

Taking on the game from Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Namco Bandai and From Software announces yesterday, Nov. 25, that Dark Souls II will be arriving for current-gen consoles PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and DirectX 11 PCs.

According to the press release cited by the website, the compilation is called Scholar of the First Sin and it includes three of the game's downloadable add-ons and new enhancements.

As stated, the re-release DLC pack will contain Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King, together with an "array of all new content."

The update pack will be made available this April 7th of 2015 and fans will expect "enhanced graphics in addition to brand new game content including an expanded story featuring additional in-game events and NPC character along with new deadlier enemies and gameplay improvements."

The update will also feature an increase of maximum player limit for its online mode.

"Dark Souls 2's new game content, augmented item descriptions and gameplay improvements, which From Software is calling version 1.1.0 of the title, are also coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and the DirectX 9 version of the Windows PC game," Polygon.com stated.

"Players of those versions will get the 1.1.0 update free of charge. The Scholar of the First Sin re-release will also be available for PS3 and Xbox 360," the site continued.
