'Dark Souls III' coming soon next year in America, meter-based system returns

Good news for all those who have been waiting for "Dark Souls III" outside of Japan. The action role-playing video game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco has already announced a release date for North America and Europe. As reported by Games Radar, "Dark Souls III" will be available by April 2016 on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Stream).

It also mentioned that a network stress test will happen on Oct. 16, 17 and 18. These are the dates that will give players the chance to play a short section of the game before it is officially launched to the public. Game Spot noted that the said schedules are applicable in North America and Japan only while a European stress test has not been announced yet. Moreover, those who wish to take part in the stress test can register between Sept. 18 at 5PM CEST and Oct. 4 at 5PM CEST via the official website of the game.

There's a lot to expect from the upcoming game including the player's magic meter which can be depleted by the "Dark Souls III" spells. Gone are the days when magic could only be replenished when resting at a bonfire. The new game will go back to a more traditional system known as the Gauge which will function as a "combat modifier for the especially aggressive player," reports IGN. The return of this type of system also allows more flexibility in battle.

It has also been noted that there are new items and weapons added in the game. There's going to be a dragon and at least one other major enemy who will be seen in "Dark Souls III." It will bring more features as well as tighter controls and a smoother gameplay. A trailer has been already released during the 2015 Tokyo Game Show which fans can check out for a better view of the "Dark Souls III" gameplay.
