“Bones” star David Boreanaz is revealing that his 2010 extramarital affair with Tiger Woods' mistress made his marriage stronger.

Boreanaz, who married Playboy playmate Jaime Bergman, admitted last year to having an affair with Rachel Uchitel, who famously had an affair with golf superstar Tiger Woods.

At the time Boreanaz said, "We're working on repairing what has been damaged so badly.”

It appears the marriage is better now, partly because of the affair, Boreanaz said.

David tells TV Week, “In a sacred ground like marriage, you find yourself out of it at certain times for reasons unknown that can be destructive,” adding that “There could be a demon that kind of comes out and overtakes you."

The affair was not the only problem the couple had to deal with last year. After Boreanaz admitted to the affair, he was slapped with a sexual harassment lawsuit from an extra on his TV series “Bones.”

Although Boreanaz initially denied the claims, the lawsuit was settled out of court in March.

According to Boreanaz, this was just the norm of dealing with the strains of marriage. He adds in the interview, “In any relationship, there are "fantastic" moments and "extremely rocky" moments.

The “Bones” star insists that he will not be giving up on his marriage anytime soon. He added, “Do I believe in giving up? No, I don't. I'm a fighter. I'm a lover.”

The couple has two children together, son Jaden, 9, and daughter Bella, 2.

Rachel Uchitel married businessman Matt Hann in Las Vegas earlier this year.
