'Days of Our Lives' News: Allison Sweeney on Last Week of Filming, Oct. 29-31 Spoilers

Fans of "Days of Our Lives" will be saying goodbye to one of its stars this week as Allison Sweeney, who plays Sami Brady, is leaving the show after 22 years of playing the devious character.

After her husband EJ got killed, Sami is leaving Salem for good as she heads to L.A. where some studio executives, upon reading the tell-all written by Sami's son about her, are interested to make a movie about it.

In an interview with TVGuide, Sweeney talked about shooting the scenes where she had to say goodbye to her DOOL family and friends.

"We shot those scenes more than four months ago and it still hurts," Sweeney said. "But everybody needed closure—including the fans. Counting down the final months and weeks and days was so hard. I was like, 'This is Sami's last disagreement with her mother!' 'This is her last catfight with Nicole!' … No matter where I go in my acting career, I'm sure I will never play a schemer who's had 15 weddings and kept all her dresses."

But the actress revealed that there's a chance that Sami could be back on Salem again as the writers of the show have written her exit in such a way that her character can come back "anytime she wants."

"Sami desperately needs something to look forward to so she's taking the kids off on a new adventure but the writers make sure it's not anything permanent and that Sami can come back to Salem anytime she wants … Days celebrates its 50th anniversary next year. No way am I missing that!"

Meanwhile, here are the spoilers for Oct. 29-31 for "Days of Our Lives":
