'Days of Our Lives' spoilers: Murder shakes Salem up in the week of Aug. 24-28.

It seems that the soap opera "Days of Our Lives" will be bringing in more shocking moments. After months of teasing viewers of a killer plot twist, it finally seems that it's happening this week as the serial killer takes its first victim.

This week has already started with Nicole (Arianne Zucker) getting the upper hand on Serena (Melissa Archer) and Xander (Paul Telfer). The diamond duo's days might finally be over as Xander is rumored to be leaving Salem soon because he may likely be sent to jail or skip town. Xander's departure may have been triggered by Theresa's (Jen Lilley) continuous steps toward her plans, of getting close to Brady by gaining his sympathy. According to Celebrity Laundry, fans shouldn't fear that there would be lack of drama, as there is also Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) discovering more of Abby's lies (Kate Mansi), and Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) being furious at Chad (Billy Flynn) for his betrayal.

Later on, Chad and Serena will decide to grab some drinks to forget about the things that have befallen them. However, the moment of companionship doesn't last long for the two, as Chad would act out in a way that causes Serena to slap him before they go their separate ways. The next morning, Chad wakes up not remembering anything from last night and dealing with a terrible hangover, while Serena is found dead. Eric (Greg Vaughn) will be the one to discover Serena's body. This could be a potential plot for next week in which Chad would have to deal being the number 1 suspect as they were last seen together.

However, despite this seemingly dark turn in Salem, the Inquisitr reports some good news. Steve (Stephen Nichols) will be making an unexpected return. It also appears that he will also bring Joey (James Lastovic) back after Joey decides to run away from boarding school. Steve will then stay in Salem for Joey and a stunned Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). Aside from that, a proposal from Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) to Hope (Kristian Alfonso) is also looming, and though Hope seems to fully trust him, it may not be her wisest decision to date.

Days of Our Lives airs every weekdays at 1 p.m. on NBC.
