'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers, Cast News: Sami and EJ's Reunion Makes a Special Fan's Dream Come True

It seems that the cast members of "Days of Our Lives" are more than willing to reprise their roles by fan request; however, it may need to come from someone far more than just normal fans. Alison Sweeney and James Scott were more than happy to make a fan's dream come true in the latest episode of "Last Week Tonight" on HBO.

Sweeney and Scott are more known for playing Sami and EJ in the long-running soap opera "Days of Our Lives". Recently, ABC news covered a story about wheelchair-bound refugee Nageen Mustafa. Mustafa was pushed to run away from home due to the war that had struck her town in Syria. With the main goal of reaching Germany, her journey brought her to the Serbian border. During the interviews, Mustafa shared how she had learned her excellent English speaking skills, and apparently it was all from watching "Days of Our Lives," which is her favorite TV show. She then shared her favorite couple which was Sami and EJ.

In the current plotline, EJ has already been killed off, and for a Sami-EJ fan like Mustafa, it was absolutely devastating to watch that moment. Sweeney and Scott are certainly aware of what it must have felt like to watch your favorite TV couple come to an end, so they wanted to do something special for Mustafa by doing a special reunion for her. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the pair had started off the clip with a kiss and came up with a dialogue that allowed a shout-out to Mustafa. Sweeney took the opportunity afterward to explain her decision to do this for Mustafa. She shared, "I was incredibly moved by Nageen and her story. And then when she revealed she was a 'Days' fan? And an EJami fan? Ha! It blew me away. I loved the idea of being able to give her a happily ever after for EJ and Sami."

For now, news is Sami will be coming back to Salem, however, in a sadder tone as her return is triggered by Will's funeral. Fans of "Days of Our Lives" can catch the soap as it airs every weekday on NBC.
