'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers: Gabi Heads to Prison, Old Foes Renew Battle (TRAILER VIDEO)

"Days of Our Lives" bids adieu to one of its cast members this week, as Gabi Hernandez is formally charged and sent to prison, leaving her portrayer, Camila Banus, free to explore new opportunities. However, before Gabi leaves, she has one more bombshell confession to make that will leave ripples throughout Salem.

This week Gabi prepares to go to prison for killing Nick Fallon, and after sharing tear-filled goodbyes with Sonny, Will, and Rafe, has to deal with the wrath of Nick's aunt Julie. Julie, never one to mince words, lashes out at Gabi for taking Nick's life. Gabi drops another bomb on her loved ones right before leaving for prison, and that confession leads to questions among Salem's residents, particularly Sonny and Will and Rafe and Daniel.

Meanwhile, E.J. and Sami, relieved that the drama with Gabi is over, begin to focus on their wedding. Things do not go as planned, and soon Sami finds herself without a job, thanks to former frenemy, Kate, who has reunited with Stefano. E.J. has to intervene in order to prevent Sami from doing something incredibly destructive and taking out her rage on Kate.

Sami later asks Abigail to serve as her bridesmaid for her wedding to E.J., which puts Abigail in an uncomfortable position. Abigail and E.J. end up in a compromising position next week – will the truth finally be exposed? And if so, how will that cause Sami to react? Viewers already know that Sami's portrayer, Alison Sweeney, is leaving the series and has filmed her final scenes, but nothing has been leaked as to how she will leave the show.

A former Salem resident returns next week – could it be Eve? And make sure to keep your eyes peeled for Eileen Davidson's return as the evil, plotting Kristen DiMera, who already has another scheme ready and goes to drastic measures to gain the attention of loved ones in town.

"Days of Our Lives" airs weekdays on NBC.
