A 3-year-old girl from the Philippines, who reportedly woke up during her funeral Saturday after being declared clinically dead on Friday, sparked claims of a miracle and inspired her family to abandon her empty coffin in a church.

According to a local blog, shocked mourners began taking pictures and video after Zamboanga del Sur, 3, from Aurora "woke up" as mourners prepared to bury her at about 1 p.m. Saturday.

Zamboanga was pronounced dead at about 9 a.m. Friday.

A 49-second video of the awakening posted to YouTube has been viewed nearly 7 million times since it was posted two days ago.

On Monday, however, the same blog reported that Dr. Mary Silyne Asor-Cabahug, the Municipal Health Officer of Aurora, tested the child with a cardiac monitor and found no signs of life and declared the toddler dead.

Dr. Cabahug told the parents of the child to bury her as soon as possible to prevent disease.

The video of the toddler reportedly waking up from the dead on YouTube has since sparked a huge debate about religion and science.

Some commenters like Christoffer Pritchett, argued that the girl never came back to life and she was simply going through the stages of rigor mortis since she had been declared dead for just a day before the burial.

"No miracle, she is dead and always was. If they would have had the money to embalm her, she wouldn't have still been going through the rigor phases of death for them to witness," he wrote.

Jaime Dias Lenzarini, however, felt the child was erroneously declared dead and was simply awakening from a deep sleep.

"A MIRACLE ! A MIRACLE ! GOD IS MARVELOUS! No, no, no ... she just woke up from a very healthy sleep plus the incompetence of doctors," he wrote.

One religious commenter did not rule out God in the mix: "At the end of the day I know God more than I wanna know myself. He can do it all. For the people who don't believe. Sorry not sorry. That's on you. This is visual prove [sic] that shows beyond our understanding. Thank you God. Blessed be that little girl and her family."
