'Dead Star' Launch Date Released, Pre-Orders to Come with Two Free DLCs

Those who have been waiting for the online multiplayer space shooter "Dead Star" is coming out a few days from now. As stated in a report by PlayStation Lifestyle, the game will be released by developer Amarture Studio on April 5. It will be available for PC and PS4 as a PlayStation Plus title.

The Texas-based video game developing studio has also prepared some bonuses for those who were enjoying the Early Access Beta and for those who pre-ordered the game. Armature Studios wrote in an open letter on the game's official forums that they will be giving away two free content packs which include the Kurg Ship Expansion and the Quaz'l Ship Expansion. Each expansion is priced at $4.99 when bought as retail. The not also detailed that the new Ship Expansions will each contain three new playable ships to the game, which means there will be additional new layers of strategy and gameplay mechanics that will help the whole player base.

And in preparation for the launch of the game, Armature notified the fans what will be happening in the coming days. It said that the servers will go offline on March 29. It will resume normal operations on April 5. There will also be a rest of the player stats. This arrangement will allow the developing team to get everything set for the launch.

Also, Armature detailed that they will be unveiling soon a more specific list of all the changes that will be taking place once the game is launched. They have made sure to listen player feedback and have taken notes on the results from the beta so that they can incorporate it into the game. Some of the enumerated changes that came from the feedback includes a revamped tutorial with voice acting, a match announcer, an optional auto level system and many more.

Hardcore Gamer noted that the target retail price of the game is $19.99 but it is one of the free titles in April for PlayStation Plus members.
