Deitrick Haddon, gospel singer-songwriter, is giving fans a glimpse into his acting talents with the holiday premiere of his movie "A Beautiful Soul" next month.

Haddon will star in the television premiere of the film on Dec 22, which will premiere on TV One. According to a TV One release obtained by Eurweb, Haddon will star as R&B singing sensation Andre Stephens in the film that infuses themes from previous holiday movies like "It's a Wonderful Life" and "A Christmas Carol."

The film reportedly focuses on Andre's spiritual journey as he learns to cope with the brutal attack of his friends. On Andre's journey, he is given the chance to reflect on his past and take a deeper look into his faith.

Although the television movie will premiere before Christmas, an encore presentation is expected for Christmas Day. Alongside Haddon, the film will also feature Lesley-Ann Brandt from CSI:NY, Robert Ri'chard from The Vampire Diaries, Golden Brooks from Hart of Dixie, Vanessa Bell Calloway from Go On and cameos from John Salley and Bishop Noel Jones.

The film is a collaborative production effort between TV One and Feather Films. However, this is not Haddon's first acting job.

In 2010, Haddon starred in a film called "Blessed & Cursed." Various fans of the gospel singer and the 2010 film took to Twitter to comment about the movie.
