Famed singer Demi Lovato has recently used her Twitter profile to release details surrounding her current photo shoot.

Demi Lovato, 19, is preparing to shed her clean-cut Disney image through her new photo shoot. Infamous celebrity photographer Tyler Shields will shoot new images for the star.

Through Demi Lovato’s Twitter, the singer let her 5.4 million Twitter followers (and growing) how the shoot was going. Demi tweeted, "I have broken glass in my hair.” She also posted a Tweet that said, "Beyond excited. But um I hope I survive." She also re-tweeted Francesca Fisher, daughter of Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood, who was present for the big shoot. Francesca’s tweet read, "Watching magic happen."

This photo shoot is expected to show Demi Lovato in a sexier light. This is said to be being done in order to do away with the image she once sported with Disney.

The singer is known to have a dedicated public following. Lately, she has spoken publicly about her drug use, experiences with an eating disorder, and God.

On Jan. 6, Demi tweeted "Sometimes it seems like God just keeps throwing crap my way and I get SO angry with him… But there's never a doubt in my mind He's gonna pull me through it all." The actress added, "I know you're there God. But umm…Really dude?"

Demi is in the process of improving her physical and mental well-being. A Dallas, Texas, native, Lovato released her third album “Unbroken” last fall, and the star fills her time with philanthropic activities through charity work and various social and environmental causes.

Late last year after having entered the rehabilitation center Timberline Knolls, Lovato urged her Twitter followers to pray for the young women there who are "fighting their inner demons."

Having recovered from her personal difficulties, the star wrote on Twitter: "Please say a prayer for all those struggling with eating disorders, self-harm, mood disorders, and substance abuse."
