The Democratic Presidential Debate 2015 will take place on Tuesday night from the Wynn Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The debate will be broadcast on CNN and will start at 8.30 p.m. ET. This first Democratic Presidential Debate in the run up to the 2016 general election can be watched online through live stream (details below).

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders will finally come face to face to clash on a wide variety of issues as they look to convince voters to give them their support.

Clinton has had a very challenging summer, and has found it difficult to gain much traction among voters, although she remains the front runner in the Democratic Presidential race. But her poll numbers have taken a big hit following repeated controversy surrounding her use of a private email server while she was President Obama's Secretary of State.

Twelve months ago it was expected that Clinton was a shoe in to be the Democratic nominee for the 2016 election, however, voters have indicated having serious "trust" issues with Clinton and that has allowed Sanders to appear as a surprise competitor.

Sanders has stunned political analysts and defied expectations, and is now just behind Clinton in early voting states such as Iowa, and is even ahead in New Hampshire.

Clinton is still out ahead when numbers are considered nationally but it has been a major concern for her campaign how Sanders has eroded her lead, and with many months still to go, if Sanders can give a strong debate showing then Clinton's numbers could take a further hit.

As well as Clinton and Sanders, there will be other candidates taking part in the debate on CNN tonight. Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb and former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee, are all hoping to use the debate to spring board their campaign and catch the eye of voters.

Vice President Joe Biden is one person who will not be taking part in the debate on Tuesday night though. After months of his name being touted as a potential late entry into the race, he has chosen not to put his name forward at this point.
