Denver Broncos vs Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon in the NFL will see the Broncos look to continue their amazing run of form, which could potentially see them claim a playoff bye. The game is scheduled to start at 4.05 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
Peyton Manning and the Broncos have now gone nine straight games without defeat, meaning they could secure a playoff bye if they can just win out their final two games.
Today's game against the Browns should be one the Broncos are confident of winning. However, they will have noticed the Browns' revival over the second half of the season that has seen them go from 0-5 to 5-9 by winning five out of their past nine games. Although that form is nothing like the Broncos' nine straight wins, it is enough to alert Denver to some potential danger, and they will know they'll have to turn up and put out a good performance today to see off Cleveland.
The fact that this is a game the Broncos will see a potential banana skin is all credit to the way Browns' coach Pat Shurmur has turned his team around over the last two-thirds of the season. At one point his head was surely on the chopping block, but if they can continue their fighting form through to the end of the season then Shurmur may just earn a reprieve and be with the team next season to continue building upon what we've seen in recent months.
If the Broncos can win out and secure their playoff bye then it will guarantee Manning and his team will be at home at least until the AFC Championship Game. That will be enough to drive them forward to try and make it 11 straight wins to hit the playoffs with.
Not many pundits would put it past them too - if they can get past the Browns today then they will only have the lowly Kansas City Chiefs standing in the way, and not many would give them much hope of halting the Broncos steam train.
