Denver looked good in the first half of the season, winning their first seven games despite playing a little inconsistent based on their standards.
In the previous game week, they suffered their first loss of the campaign when they faced the Indianapolis Colts.
The game was close throughout, but the Broncos failed to take the victory and allowed the Colts to score the winning field goal attempt to beat them 27-24.
And now that their unblemished record is gone, the Broncos are now trying to bounce back and get another victory as a loss could close the gap between them and their chasing rivals.
As for the Chiefs, the slow start to the season may very well be behind them as they have already won back-to-back games.
Prior to the victories, their only win was in week one when they beat the Houston Texans.
After that game, they dropped five straight games to fall off the hunt for the top spot.
However, their wins against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions paired with the loss of the Broncos has made it possible for them to close the gap.
They are also coming off a bye week and the team hopes that the rest did not stop their momentum as they prepare for the big match against Peyton Manning and the Broncos.
