This game was always going to be billed as Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady. Both have become known as top quarterbacks in the league and are writing their names in NFL history. They have already had a number of close battles, and these two greats will face off again today in an intriguing match up.

Both teams have had a staggered start to the new season, and enter this week 5 clash with records of 2-2. Both will be looking to climb over the .500 mark with a win today.

The New England Patriots will be in confident mood having seen their offense explode into action in a big way in week 4. They comprehensively destroyed the Buffalo Bills, racking up an immense 52 points in last week's win.

The Broncos too will be feeling like they are beginning to get into the form they want to take them places this season. They dominated against the Oakland Raiders in week 4, and were efficient across all areas of the game. They will want to build upon that good performance with a similar showing in today's game against the Patriots.

One area the Patriots will be looking to improve is in defense. They have looked far from comfortable at times, and Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens hit them for 101 yards and a touchdown in week 3. Other than Rice they have not come up against a powerful back this season, but will certainly be put to the test today against the Broncos.

The Broncos have Wills McGahee in their roster and he is undoubtedly one of the NFL's best backs.

But it may be against the pass that Patriots see their downfall. They are ranked just 25th in the NFL in pass defense this season, and Manning will be in no mood to help them move up the rankings in that department.
