Chicago Bulls NBA Trade News, Rumors: Derrick Rose Essential to Bulls' Success, Player Feeling Better After FIBA

The Chicago Bulls will have to make sure that Derrick Rose is in his top condition if they are to have any hopes of being in the playoffs this season. Then again, this has been the case for the past two years and Rose's knee injury has not been helping him.

Even with a recurring knee injury, Rose has been given the opportunity to play at the FIBA World Cup unlike last year. Still, his plays aren't exactly impressive as he has been taking it easy during the international basketball tournament. His statistics place his shooting percentage to be 30-percent lower, averaging at around six points and three assists per game. On average, he's only averaged around 17 minutes per game during Team USA's seven matches.

Rose isn't the only player that the Bulls can rely on as there are Kirk Hinrich and Aaron Brooks. To help boost their scoring potential, the team has signed on Pau Gasol from the Lakers as well as Nikola Mirotic from overseas. Even with the added help, the Bulls will definitely need Rose to be in his full health during the course of the year.

Only recently, however, has Rose talked about how he's feeling after taking part in Team USA's matches in the FIBA World Cup. Sam Smith from Bulls.com has been tweeting Rose's statements saying, "I think this year will be the best year I've ever been in condition."

Smith's other tweets also indicate Rose's thoughts about FIBA.

"I think I did great. I think I can go into camp with a positive mind thought; I know I'm headed in the right direction," the athlete said.

It also looks like Rose is feeling pretty confident about himself, with Smith stating in another tweet, "Everybody was worried but myself. I already knew I was going to be healthy enough to play in all the games."
