Chicago Bulls NBA News, Rumors 2015: Derrick Rose Will Be Crucial for Final 28 Games of the Season

Almost four months after the season began, it is a crucial time for the Chicago Bulls to string victories in order to get a better spot come playoff time.

According to a report by ESPN, Chicago will face the last 28 games of the season, and it better be more consistent than it has been in the last few months.

And in order to achieve that, the Bulls need their main man to get in the groove and show some consistency.

For the past two years, most Derrick Rose and Bulls fans have been accustomed to reports about the former MVP's recurring injuries that prevent him from making a return to the big stage.

But after a few months of gaining his confidence back, and slowly putting up similar numbers to what he did four years ago, fans are expecting more from him.

Currently, D-Rose averages 18.9 points five assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game, but that is still way below his numbers during his MVP season.

Fortunately, the Bulls have a number of other weapons available this season. Jimmy Butler has become a genuine All-Star and Pau Gasol is turning the hands of father time with his consecutive double-doubles.

Together with defensive anchor Joakim Noah, these four make up the best offensive lineup of Chicago in years.

Approaching the last stretch of the season, the Bulls have built quite a momentum with their four-game winning streak before the All-Star break. Rose dropped 30 points and seven assists in their win against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

After the game, James, who had 31 points of his own, applauded Rose's relentless attack against the Cavs offense.

"I think Derrick looked great last night. I haven't seen him as much this year, obviously. But the game last night, it just showed what he's capable of doing", James said.
