Chicago Bulls NBA 2014 News, Rumors: Derrick Rose Pulls Hamstring in Game Against Indiana, Says 'It's Minor'

For the second game in a row, Derrick Rose has been cast into the starting lineup despite a nagging knee injury. It looked fine for the first three quarters of the match until late into the fourth quarter, where Rose had seemingly pulled a hamstring after a drive. He was then relegated to the bench where his capability to play on Saturday's game against the Indiana Pacers remains uncertain.

"I guess it's cramps in my hamstrings. I think it's minor, and they decided to pull me out. I just overstepped. I probably stretched out a little bit more with my left leg and I probably got a cramp in it," Rose said. Afterwards, he mentioned that he will be treating his injury with ice and muscle stimulation.

"He'll be evaluated when we get back to Chicago. They'll make sure everything is good. He says he just tweaked it and everything is fine," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said.

This injury is the latest in his string of knee-related incidents which has caused him to miss out two seasons and spend most of his time at the bench this 2014-15 season.

"I don't know, man. Just missing two years, now you're just going to fall for no reason I guess, man. Just trying to work every day, put in consistent work every day. And don't lose confidence with these setbacks," Rose said.

Even with the nagging injury, Rose scored 20 points during the game against the Pacers as well as three rebounds and five turnovers.
