Destiny Beta, DLC Release Date, News: Story Missions to Enhance Gaming Experience

The Destiny beta went live last month to fans' criticisms that game developer Bungie has skimped on several crucial features in the game. It appears as if on every planet on the game, there was only one location per planet to explore, which gave the feel of a limited gaming experience.

The studio responded to these concerns and said that the game will have more features and a wider variety of activities, and overtime it is expected to get larger through add-on content, according to Gamespot.com.

"If I'm honest with you, it blew my mind, because it's the biggest game we've ever made. I don't think people understand the depth and amount of game play there is in Destiny," Bungie director of production Jonty Barnes told Eurogamer.

Barnes also added that people must have been basing their opinions on the beta version of the game, which represents a small portion of what Destiny has to offer.

Apart from assuring fans that Destiny will be a "huge game," Bungie has confirmed that there will be several forms of DLC for the game. According to IGN, Bungie has released an expansion pass that will allow access to two DLC expansions for the game. Those who purchase the Destiny Digital Guardian edition will also get the Expansion Pass.

The Expansion Pass will have two DLC expansions exclusive for the Playstation, which are "The Dark Below" and "House of Wolves." Bunjie has yet to announce the release date of the aforementioned DLCs.

Destiny will be launched for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, and Playstation 4 on Sept. 9. As of the moment, the game has not been confirmed for the PC.
