'Destiny's' Crimson Days Event Brings New Crucible, Emotes, 320 Ghosts, and More

"Destiny's" Valentine's Day-themed event has gone live. The event brings with it a new Crucible mode, new emotes, 320 Ghosts, and more.

"Crimson Days celebrates two Guardians, united against the competition, watching one another's backs and becoming legend together," Bungie describes the event. "A Crucible Fireteam, forging bonds of teamwork and friendship that even death only strengthens."

Because the event celebrates Valentine's season, the power of two is emphasized. The new Crucible Pvp mode called Crimson Doubles is a 2v2 Elimination Mode. Two players working as a team must win five rounds to win.

In the event that one player falls, the remaining teammate will receive a buff called Broken Heart. It makes the player faster and recover much quicker from any damage. The boost will last until the fallen player is revived, the round ends, or the remaining player falls in combat as well.

New quest

Players can also participate in a new Quest courtesy of Lord Shaxx. The new quest is called "Crimson Bonds," which promises a new Crimson Days emblem to those who succeed. Players who will participate in Crimson Doubles will also have a chance to receive new Shaders and new 320-Light Ghost Shells.

Crimson Candy

There's also a Crimson Candy, which will boost a player and his Fireteam. In particular, the candy will allow players to share a Crimson Connection through which all members of the team will receive boosts in experience gain on all equipped weapons. The Crimson Connection buff lasts for 30 minutes.

New emotes

A new set of emotes is also available, namely Awkward dance, Strange dance, Secret Greeting, Fist Bump, and Charm. Those interested can get them at the Eververse Store where they are available for a limited time.

Destiny's Crimson Days event runs from Feb. 9 to 16.
