Brett Anderson could be a crucial player tonight. He has made just six starts this season but will be thrown the ball in Game 3. His record over his six starts was 4-2 with a 2.57 ERA and 1.03 WHIP. He certainly has the talent, but his health has kept him from playing a bigger part in the season. The 24 year old left-hander will be looking to prove what he has got on the big stage now, and he will be looking to stop the Athletics from falling to their second-straight postseason sweep to the Tigers.

The Athletics will have to quickly find the form that saw them win six straight games at the end of the regular season to beat out the Rangers for the AL West title.
