Detroit Tigers vs Toronto Blue Jays takes place in the MLB on Thursday afternoon, with the series evenly matched, tied at 1-1 coming into this game. The game is scheduled to start at 1.05 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream (details below).
The Tigers confidently took the first game of the series 7-3 on Tuesday, and many had thought that they would turn the screw with another win on Wednesday. However, credit must go to the Blue Jays for turning things around and claiming a nerve-wracking 8-6 win in the second game to tie things up at 1-1.
Miguel Cabrera has been immense, and even though many players are just shaking off the rust from the off-season, Cabrera has already shown top form not usually seen till later in the season.
He hit his first home run and drove four runs as the Tigers beat the Blue Jays on Tuesday.
Tigers newcomer, Torii Hunter has said about him: "He's the best right-handed hitter I've ever seen. I've only been here 15-16 years in the major leagues, but I tell you, this guy's probably one of the best right-handed hitters I've ever seen. (Albert) Pujols is pretty good, saw him the last decade or so, but Cabrera is the best hitter I've ever seen."
The Blue Jays are having a tough start to the season overall, and Tuesday night's loss meant they fell to 2-5 for their worst start since 2004. This all comes despite the team spending millions to improve their roster in the close season.
They did look much better on Wednesday when they managed to turn things around to win 8-6 against a very talented Tigers team. However, if they lose again today then they will fall to 3-6 and set themselves up for a big fight early on this regular season.
