Diana DeGarmo, 24, and Ace Young, 31, have opened up to speak about their relationship that has been spoken about throughout media outlets recently.

The pair first met on the set of American Idol, however, they have explained that they did not start their relationship together until after the show was over and completed.

It was in fact when they were both performing in Hair on Broadway when their relationship developed beyond friendship.

After the show finished, Young relocated to Los Angeles for work, and DeGarmo followed to find her own place. However, they eventually moved in together.

Young has explained: “She came to California and kept saying, ‘I’m looking [at] apartments. And I was like, ‘Why don’t you just stay with me?’ The moment she got here, she realized I wasn’t going to let her get an apartment. It was like, either we’re doing this or we’re not. And thankfully, she was all in.”

DeGarmo has reported that she would now describe their relationship as “beautiful.”
