Country singer Dierks Bentley and wife Cassidy welcomed their third child into the world on Wednesday, Oct. 9. The two-time CMT Music Awards winner tweeted the information out to his followers and fans, celebrating their first son's birth and giving thanks to the medical staff for all of their help.
"Well… our boy Knox is here!" Bentley tweeted. "About to have the best tasting cold beer of my life! So proud of my wife. She rocked it. Crazy stuff. Mad respect for doctors, nurses and everyone at hospitals. Can't believe y'all do that day in and day out. Hard work making miracles happen."
The Bentley family previously consisted of Dierks, Cassidy and daughters Evie, 4, and Jordan, 2. Dierks made the announcement of Knox's impending birth back in April, again using Twitter to alert his fans.
"So my wife and I will be changing our family defensive strategy come the fall. Switching from man-to-man to zone," Bentley wrote. "Advice, Tim McGraw?"
He and Cassidy have been married since 2005, when they eloped to Mexico. The two had been longtime girlfriend and boyfriend before deciding to take the plunge. They currently live in Nashville, Tenn. Bentley was recently on the Locked and Re-Loaded Tour with Miranda Lambert, Lee Brice, and Thomas Rhett. He frequently tours with Lambert and friend Kenny Chesney.
Throughout his career, Bentley has made great hits and been nominated for multiple awards every year since 2004, when he was named the Academy of Country Music's Top New Artist. His career has not slowed down any and Bentley is taking some time off to spend with his new son.
Fans have reached out to wish the parents all the best, and Bentley is busy keeping them up-to-date on all the developments, including his first son's circumcision. He even posted a photo of himself trying to explain the procedure to his daughters, which shows him making a fist and his daughters looking confused over lunch.
