In the previous episode, it began in an underwater facility called the Drum where lots of people work. The Doctor and Clara arrived and were greeted warmly by everyone. They were investigating a ghostly shighting. The ghosts had been scaring the workers.

Clara enjoyed the adventure much to the chargin of The Doctor. The Doctor wanted to keep Clara safe so he locked her inside the Tardis. The ghosts just wanted to be near the people. And just as the Doctor found a remote sub, the facility suddenly flooded. Only half the workers made it to the Tardis.

The episode ended with a cliff-hanger as The Doctor suddenly became a ghost that was haunting Clara.
