'Doctor Who' Season 9 Release Date, Filming News: Missy Basking Under the Hot Sun in Spain
Production for the next season of the popular and well-loved BBC TV series "Doctor Who" is now taking place in the hot Iberian Peninsula this week and it seems like the Mistress is enjoying all the warmth.
A report from Enstarz.com cited fan website Doctor Who TV announcing that the team is in Spain once again to film scenes for Series 9. The news was picked up by the fansite from Ali Asad, the show's director of Photography, who recently took to his social media to tell the update.
"Going to Spain on a location recce for the Dr." Asad tweeted.
Posted on their site are pictures of the crew setting up in Teide National park, Tenerife where acres upon acres of sand can be seen. There are also some magnificent rock formations accentuating the scenes which as Enstars speculated might greatly "involve the Master's newest regeneration."
Coming a bit more spoilery this time, DWTV further shared some location pics showing a great deal of the Mistress and Clara.
The series of images featured Clara arriving while being closely guarded by men wearing black suits and who appeared on alert with their guns drawn.
Clara was then pictured opposite with Missy where they appeared to be having a conversation. Then armed police units arrive on scene suggesting there must be some kind of set-up going on.
Written by "Sherlock" scribe Steven Moffat, "Doctor Who" Series 9 opens with back to back episodes titled "The Magician's Apprentice" and "The Witch's Familiar" later this year.
