Donald Trump Wants to Make a 'Black' Versus ' White' Season of 'The Apprentice'

The past has come back to bring problems for the presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Trump is best known for his reality TV series, "The Apprentice," which is a business based competition. The series has been airing for several years, bringing different variants of the competition to the small screens, such as "Celebrity Apprentice," which featured groups of celebrities going to head to head.

However, Trump previously spoke about one of his past pitches for a variant of the show that it not get approved, as per People. During an interview back in 2005, Trump explained that there was a season of the series that he was not happy with. Because of this, he was eager to take casting into his own hands.

He said that as a way to bring ratings up, he thought of bringing race as a major factor in a season of "The Apprentice." He said that he wanted to group by teams by racing, which would make a "Black" and "White" team.

He said, "An idea that is fairly controversial -- creating a team of successful African-Americans versus a team of successful whites. Whether people like that idea or not, it is somewhat reflective of our very vicious world."

Fortunately, the show concept never came to be. Trump stated that other people did not think it was a good idea to bring the show to life. This has fueled the public perception that Donald Trump is racist.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren previously shared her sentiments about Trump's racism, explaining that that is how he build it campaign. On her official Twitter account, she stated, "Here's what else is real: @realDonaldTrump has built his campaign on racism, sexism, and xenophobia."

In addition, she said, "There's more enthusiasm for @realDonaldTrump among leaders of the KKK than leaders of the political party he now controls."
