'Downton Abbey' Final Season: Wedding Revealed

It was revealed that the final season of "Downton Abbey" will feature a wedding or two.

The show recently shot a secret wedding ceremony at the village church at Bampton, Oxfordshire last July. However, the mock paperwork was found by the public that showed specific information such as order of service, opening prayers, and vows.

With that, the plot of the season was revealed. It showed a pamphlet stating Lady Edith will be getting married in the upcoming season to a man named Herbert. It was reported that the cast and crew of the show have been trying very hard to hide the story lines of the season. There was criticism toward the production crew, questioning why they would just keep the mock paperwork around.

However, it was revealed that there will be more weddings to come. Jim Carter, who played the character of Mr. Carson, shared some spoilers for the upcoming season. He said, "There are lots of wedding bells in series six — but I can't tell you who for — because the whole point is to watch the program isn't it — you wouldn't watch a football match if you knew it was 2-0 to Arsenal at the end of it."

It will be interesting to see who will end up married in the upcoming series. It was also hinted that a love interest, which was sparked in the previous season, could also progress quickly into a marriage. Viewers of the series will have to wait and see until the premiere of "Downton Abbey's" final season.

Fans will be happy to see the cast partaking in joyous celebrations. The season will be bittersweet now that the series will soon be ending. However, there are speculations that the producers of the show are hinting at a possible movie for the series. These details have yet to be confirmed.
