Mary assures him that all is well, and tells him, "On the contrary, I only hope Tony feels the same." She then tells Charles that though everything seems right with Tony, she wants him to be the godfather of her children, just not their father.

The next day, Mary meets Tony to call things off, and he doesn't take it too well. They just spent a romantic weekend in a hotel, and Tony can't imagine why she would want to end their relationship. Mary thinks that aside from their attraction to each other, they don't seem to have much in common. Tony says, "I refuse to believe that a woman like you, a lady, would give herself to a man without first being certain that he's the one." He then declares that they would have to work through it.

Things aren't looking so well for Cora and Robert as there seems to be a problem in their marriage. Simon returns to the estate to see one of the Crawley's Pierro della Francesca paintings, but it appears as though he has another intention for being there. Simon is flirting outrageously with Cora, and she is flattered when he appears to be interested in her opinions about the artworks. This makes Robert very jealous.

Meanwhile, the Dowager Countess visits Prince Kuragin where the other refugees are being housed, and he talks about how different their fates have become. They speak of his wife, the Princess, and he says that they have been arrested together, but she was exiled a year before him. Now he has no idea about her whereabouts. Violet enlists the help of Shrimpy, who tracks down a group of refugees in Hong Kong who are working as servants, drivers, and dress makers among others. Isobel asks Violet why she wants to find the Princess though she's not fond of her, and Violet says that she feels she owes it to her.

"Downton Abbey" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on PBS.
