'Downton Abbey' Season 5 Release Date, Spoilers: First Photos of the Children of the Abbey Revealed

Expect to see more of the growing children of "Downton Abbey" on the show's upcoming season. Recently, new photos of the young cast have been revealed.

One features Miss Sybil Branson, daughter of the late Lady Sybil and Tom Branson (Allen Leach) who will be played by Fifi Hart, age 4. Another photo is of Master George Crawley, son of Lady Mary and the late Matthew Crawley, and also the heir apparent to the Earldom. Master George will be played by 3-year-old twins Oliver and Zac Barker.

A trailer for the new season shows Mr. Carson talking about changes. The images shown in the last teaser trailer features the grand abbey's perfectly manicured grounds, which indicates the aristocratic way of having everything fixed to the point of perfection. But Mr. Carson, who leads the staff of Downton Abbey, feels that something new is about to happen.

"I feel a shaking of the ground I stand on. The nature of life is not permanence but flux. Things are changing," he said.

Could this "change" have anything to do with Lady Mary? During the last season, the battle for her heart rages on between Lord Gillingham (Tom Cullen) and Charles Blake (Julian Ovenden). Will she finally make her choice between the two equally compelling men?

Meanwhile, Lady Edith continues to visit Timothy Drewe, the tenant farmer who secretly takes in Edith's baby to raise as his own. Her frequent visits to the farm is starting to look a bit suspicious, and it's only a matter of time before anyone at the abbey finds out what she's up to. What will happen once her secret is revealed?

Season 5 of "Downton Abbey" will premiere on PBS on January 4, 2015.
