'Downton Abbey' Season 6 Episode 3 Spoilers and Episode 2 Recap: Carson and Mrs. Hughes Wedding Is On

In the forthcoming episode of "Downton Abbey," the official synopsis reads, preparations for the wedding of Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes are underway, but a misunderstanding threatens to shatter the peace. Edith meets up with an old acquaintance, who comes to her assistance in an hour of need. Spratt has something to hide, but Denker is hot on the trail, and Daisy jumps to conclusions when she hears about a plan of Cora's. Tensions mount over the hospital takeover, leading Isobel to offend a friend. The wedding day dawns, but it brings a surprise with the arrival of some unexpected guests.

In the previous episode, it began with Carson and Mrs. Hughes as they set a date for their impending wedding. They were just in need of a reception venue and Lady Mary suggested that they use the great hall, but Mrs. Hughes does not want that because it was like getting married in the office. Lady Mary and Mrs. Hughes clashed over the wedding details and both women were determined to get their way.

Unemployment hung bitterly over the staff especially Barrow, who cannot find another job since all his interviews had been a bust. His vindictive personality has caused people to shut him out. Worst of all, Andrew, the person Barrow seemed to be interested in, was clearly not interested him at all.
