Dragon Age: Inquisition Patch 5 Release Date News: Game Update Beta to Roll Out to PC Players

BioWare announced that the fifth update for their current action role-playing video Dragon Age: Inquisition will be "the biggest patch" that the studio will ever release.

Bioware's official press release for DAI Patch 5 beta program indicated that the upcoming patch would first roll out to "a select group of PC players" who will be required to signup "in a closed developer-like environment."

"This not only allows us to more quickly identify and respond to future issues, but gives our developers a great, new way to work directly with our players," BioWare said.

Participants of the closed beta program will have access to the Black Emporium which the website described as a "mysterious underground shop run by an immortal proprietor."

"There, Inquisitors can find powerful artifacts and tools to aid their cause, purchase epic weapons, powerful accessories, new crafting materials and schematics, and even change their voice and facial appearance using the Mirror of Transformation," the studio said.

For those who also opt to "spice up their look," BioWare also added an "item tinter" where players can use crafting materials to change their armor's color.

Other than the customization issue, Patch 5 will also see the addition of an "auto-attack key" for single player mode.

Furthermore, the option to adjust text sizes as well as graphic quality setting will be provided.

Players should likewise be in the lookout for the new storage space feature which will be housed within Skyhold's Undercroft area.

This will give DAI players a bigger place to save their items when their character inventory space reached its limit.

After the PC beta phase, EuroGamer.net indicated that the update will then be released to hand-held game consoles like PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in a still unspecified date.
