According to Saiyan Island, "Dragon Ball Movie 20" will explore the origin of the Saiyan race and will feature Saiyan characters that fans are yet to meet in more than three decades of its existence.

"Dragon Ball" original creator himself Akira Toriyama will write the script and will take care of the character designs for the movie. There is no word yet on when a first look for the film will be released though.

Either way, "Dragon Ball Movie 20" becomes the latest in the long list of brand-new content coming next year inspired by the massive universe that Toriyama created.

Also coming in 2018 is the three-versus three team battle fighting game "Dragon Ball FighterZ" by Arc System Works, which features beloved characters from the manga as well as the new ones that fans just met in "Dragon Ball Super."

Speaking of the anime, the Universe Survival Arc will continue next year with the end of the Tournament of Power fast approaching. To no one's surprise, Universe 7 remains in the top three worlds, but it will be a serious challenge to win it all especially with the unbelievably powerful Jiren of Universe 10 in their way.

Going back to the gaming side, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" continues to get some love from Bandai Namco Entertainment with a new downloadable content (DLC) pack slated for release next year as well.

As for "Dragon Ball Movie 20," more details should be revealed in the coming months.
