'Dragon Ball Super' Episode 28 Spoilers: New Storyline To See Goku Teaming Up With Beerus And Whis

"Dragon Ball Super" Episode 27 featured some of the greatest fight scenes in the history of the anime series. Moving on from the "Resurrection of F" saga, the upcoming episode will reportedly open a new storyline focusing on Goku teaming up with the overpowered Beerus and his sidekick Whis in an inter-universe fighting tournament. The new chapter is also said to introduce a slew of new characters who fans will surely root for or against.

According to Christian Today, the 28th episode of the series will be called "Champa! The God of Destruction of the Sixth Universe," although other sites list it as "The God of Destruction of the 6th Universe - His Name is Champa." As revealed by the title, it appears that other than Beerus, there are also other Gods of Destruction who exist out there. Fans may remember that during the earlier parts of the season, the cat-like entity had revealed to Goku that other universes had their own God of Destruction.

Champa, as it turns out, is the God of Destruction in the sixth universe and like Whis to Beero, he has an assistant named Vados. It was also revealed that Vados is actually Whis's more powerful sister.

Additional details provided over at AttackOfTheFanBoy.com said that in this episode, Beerus will be assembling his own team consisting of Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta and Buu. It is yet to be known why Beerus didn't include other powerful fighters such as Gohan.

Champa's team, meanwhile, will include Hitto, Kyabe, Frost, Botamo and Magetta.

Gojiitaaf's Facebook page teases the looks of the new characters where one of them looks very much like Frieza and another one's looks resemble that of a Saiyan's.

Exactly how this fighting tournament turns out, the fans will have to see for themselves when "Dragon Ball Super" Episode 28 premieres this Sunday, Jan. 24.
