'Dragon Ball Super' Episode 80 Spoilers, Preview: Gohan Faces Lavender From Universe 9

After Buu's battle last weekend, Gohan is now set to take center stage as he tries to beat Lavender from Universe 9. The preview for the upcoming episode of "Dragon Ball Super" suggests that victory won't come easily for Goku's ally.

The trailer for episode 80 features Goku's usual voiceover, explaining how spine-chilling Lavender can be as a fighter. He describes the new opponent as a mad wolf who is even more psychotic than his teammate Basil, the wolfish character taken down by Buu in the previous episode.

The clip shows that despite Lavender's creepiness, Gohan is positive that he can take down the opponent from Universe 9. Similarly, Goku believes that his son has the upper hand in the fight despite Lavender's tendency to cheat. The synopsis for episode 80 reveals that he will urge his son to use Lavender's cheating to his advantage.

Based on the synopsis for the episode, Gohan will have a hard time beating Lavender but Goku believes that his son can make it. "Gohan is blinded! His battle against the Venomous Lavender begins! Universe 7 is pumped after their victory in the first round! Moving on to the second round, Gohan is up against the Universe 9 warrior Lavender. Blinded by Lavender's poison, Gohan cannot read Lavender's ki and seems to be in for a tough fight!" reads the synopsis.

It remains to be seen if Gohan will be able to awaken his dormant power and transform into his most powerful form as he seeks to take down Lavender. There are also speculations that Gohan will suffer defeat and Goku will fight next in the arena to reclaim Universe 7's victory.
