'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' DLC Update: New Content Meant to Outshine Previous Lackluster Raid Event

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" players are in for a real treat next week as new content is about to arrive. The awesome thing about this is it is not just a small update, but rather comes in two parts that provide a lot to play with.

As per Bandai Namco Entertainment's official website, all players will get to download a free update on Feb. 27. This includes the following content: Zangya & Bido costumes; Android 15's clothes and Metal Cooler's suit; two new Expert Missions that revolve around Broly and Janemba; five New Attacks — Jumping Energy Wave, Menacing Flare, Focus Flash, Wild Hunt and Tail Slicer; new rules for the Tenkaichi Tournament (Character and Group); and Tournament Jersey as Tenkaichi Prize.

Meanwhile, those who obtain the Dragon Ball Super Pack 2 downloadable content (DLC) will be able to get even more mouth-watering content by Feb. 28, which includes the following: Champa and Vados as playable characters; new story content concerning Champa; Unnamed Planet as a new stage; eight new attacks — God of Destruction's Menace, God of Destruction's Roar, Destruction's Concerto: Comet, Destruction's Concerto: Starfall, Destruction's Concerto: Meteor, Destruction's Conductor, Requiem of Destruction and Sonic Bomb; three new costumes for Android 13, Android 14 and Fused 13; five new Super Souls for Champa, Vados, Vegeta, Super Buu, and Piccolo; Space Pod as a new vehicle; and new emotes: for Beerus and Zen-Ou.

It can be recalled that in the previous Android 17 Raid Event, some players were underwhelmed with the prizes at stake. Netizens further discussed this frustration over at Reddit, in which some mentioned that developers may be focusing on a new update and the DLCs, instead of the raids. From the looks of the incoming content, that speculation may be correct.

For those who wish to see what the contents are about, there will be a Twitch Livestream today, 7 p.m. ET. The livestream can be accessed in the link here.
